Contest Winner And General Chat

I'll get to the contest winner first because I know that's what everyone is interested in! The winner of the free ebook copy of MY HEART FOR YOURS is....

sarabara081

YAY!!! Congrats!!!

And I even did the random.org thing for the first time too.

LOL.

Okay, looks like a lot of your want to read the first chapter of WHAT A BOY NEEDS, so I will give it to you this week! Probably Wednesday, I'm thinking.

Oh, and FYI I am seriously kicking this book's butt. I have no idea if it's any good or not, but... let's just say if I was Sebastian, I'd call myself NINJA. I've been a writing machine.

I'm super duper close to finishing it. If I keep it up and have writing time, I will seriously be done in a couple days!!

Then it's off to my critique partners who are speedy and super good at what they do. The cool part is, one of them as been reading as I go and I already have notes in the first half of the book from her.

So, that's all from me. Other than the fact that I'm sort of in a reading slump. Nothing is jumping out and grabbing me.

What awesome book have you read lately that I need to get??

  1. Yay for writing and almost finishing!!! I'm excited to read the whole story. I think it's going to be great.

I've mainly been reading ARCs from NetGalley. I also recently finished BOY TOY by Barry Lyga, which was really, really good. (And a boy POV!!)

  3. Hurray! I can't wait to read this!

Have you read Slammed by Colleen Hoover? I absolutely adored this book and its follow up Point of Retreat. Here's a link to my review of it:

Just don't read my review past the spoiler alert that I posted because that will make the big surprise of the book more jaw dropping. It's a great book and the price is great too!

  4. Well, I just noticed you have Slammed on your goodreads shelf, so . . . never mind about that. I still do love it though!

  5. Congrats Sara!! Have you read "What I Didn't Say?" by Keary Taylor? I just read it yesterday and it was really good! It's a male POV too. :)

  6. Yay, that's me!! Thank you! So excited to hear the progress of What A Boy Needs!

I just finished the 5th Mortal Instruments book, City of Lost Souls. I really love that series. I also love A Need So Beautiful, Angelfall, and How to Kill a Rock Star for a few other ideas. :)

  7. I'm reading being friends with boys right now, and can I just say that I LOVE McAvoy's covers? Talk about winning the draw on author branding because they are FUN.

I think it's a shade darker, or going to be, but the writing is INCREDIBLE.

  9. It's so exciting when you're close to finishing a book! I definitely want to read this first chapter.

I'm reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman right now. It's very good, although a tiny bit on the slow side.

  10. Can't wait for the first chapter! YAY!

I just finished On The Island by Tracey Garvis-Graves and loved every second of it.

I also just read Hearts of Darkness by Laura Kaye, super steamy, emotional, and a tad dark. It's one of my top recommendations now!

  11. Do you like urban fantasy? Then I recommend anything by Kelley Armstrong, Patricia Briggs, Rachel Vincent or Devon Monk. If not, um, I got nothing because that's pretty much all I've been reading lately. (Oh, and Peter Pan. Because everyone should read Peter Pan.)

Yay, can't wait for What a Boy Needs! Go, writer, go! :-)
