I’ve struggled with weight most of my adult life. It’s really hard to lose and super easy to gain. I’ve gone up and down. While writing MEASURING UP, a book that took me five weeks to write, I lost fifteen pounds. I’ve since gained it all back. But while I was writing, I was inspired by Annabel and Tegan. Since the book has released I’ve heard from a lot of other people who said they feel the same way. Inspired. It’s pretty incredible. YOUR inspiration has since reignited mine. I’m ready to do this again, This time for real and for GOOD. And things like this are always easier to do with a group of people. That’s where Annabel, Tegan and YOU come into play!
The Challenge: To make life changes YOU want. Not because of society, or anyone else, but because it’s what you want for YOU. A healthier lifestyle.
Goals: I’m going to set a goal for myself. Something small because it feels good to reach a goal. Once I reach my first one, I’ll set the second. If you’d like to join Tegan and Annabel’s challenge feel free. Set a goal for yourself too.
Check –ins: I’ll post on my blog every Saturday. Also there's a Google group for check-ins as well. There’s other topics in the group too. Saturday will be the official check in day, but you can post anytime. There will be support, recipes and other threads. The challenge starts Saturday September, 15th.
I have a feeling Tegan and Annabel might stop in from time to time too. As readers who have read MEASURING UP know, this is something that is close to both their hearts.
The Google group will be set private, but if you email me at email@example.com with your email I will send you an invite. Though it’s private, the group might grow to be pretty big so please don’t post any information there you don’t want others to see.
I’d love it if you could share the word about this challenge. Also, if you have a blog, blog on Saturdays, if you feel comfortable. We’ll have a blog link thread going as well.
Even though the challege doesn't start until next week I'm going to post my goals now, just to give you an idea what I'm doing.
