The Flu Sucks

LOL. Okay, so I probably could have worded it better, but it's true. It's miserable. My hubby got it and I took two days to take care of him, hoping and praying it ended with him.

Guess who was next? That would be me.

I haven't been that sick in a long time, peeps. Fever, sore throat. I seriously felt like I'd been run over by a truck. No good. Luckily for me, he probably took even better care of me than I did of him. I didn't leave my bed for two days. TWO days and I honestly only left to go to the bathroom and the doctor (I got a sinus infection too). He brought me drinks and medicine and whatever else I needed. And took care of the kids who I tried to keep out of my room because the last thing I wanted was for my babies to get it. Then on the third day, I did leave my bed, but I accomplished nothing.

Guess who woke up sick yesterday?

Sigh. My oldest. Fever, sore throat, the whole nine.

Now we're hoping and praying that our youngest somehow escapes all the germs infesting our house. LOL.

I lost a few days writing and that again, is no good. BUT... I'm obsessive. Or anal. Or crazy. Whatever you want to call it, but even the thought of being behind when it comes to writing a book is way too stressful for me to put into words so took today and got busy.

And it wasn't hard. Some really big, emotional and intense things are going on in Adrian's world so it makes the words flow well. My fingers didn't want to stop typing and my mind is still going with it all. I cranked out 6,000 words today.

It was awesome.

So basically that's all I have for ya today. LOL. The flu sucks. Send good thoughts for my kiddos and writing is awesome.

Also, if you didn't see, I posted the signings I'm participating in so far this year. Scroll down to take a peek.

Oh! And I'll be having a swag contest on my Kelley Vitollo site. If it's not there when you check, click again. I'm going to cuddle my kiddos for a while and then I'll get it posted :)

What did you do this weekend? Are you avoiding the flu? Did you read anything good?

Have a good one!
