There are certain people in your life who you know are destined to be there. Not just meant to come into your life for a short amount of time, but to always be there. To take this wild journey we call life with you as what my nine year old calls, your "forever friend". Wendy Higgins is my forever friend, but I got so lucky because not only is she the nicest, my caring person I know, but she's also one of the best writers I know. I mean, she created Kaidan Rowe, right? It doesn't get any better than that. And I have the honor of being her first reader. I feel like I've been around Kaidan and Anna almost as long as Wendy has (or maybe I just WANT to have been). When something good happens for Wendy, it feels like something good is happening for me. We have cried at each other's good news before (hint, we're both softies. I think that's one of the reasons we get along so well). When something goes wrong, she is the first person I email and when something goes well, I always share with her first.

It's because of all these things that I am SUPER excited for today! SWEET PERIL book two in the Sweet trilogy is out now. WOOO HOO!!

Anna Whitt, the daughter of a guardian angel and a demon, promised herself she’d never do the work of her father—polluting souls. She’d been naive to make such a vow. She’d been naive about a lot of things.

Haunted by demon whisperers, Anna does whatever she can to survive, even if it means embracing her dark side and earning an unwanted reputation as her school’s party girl. Her life has never looked more bleak. And all the while there’s Kaidan Rowe, son of the Duke of Lust, plaguing her heart and mind.

When an unexpected lost message from the angels surfaces, Anna finds herself traveling the globe with Kopano, son of Wrath, in an attempt to gain support of fellow Nephilim and give them hope for the first time. It soon becomes clear that whatever freedoms Anna and the rest of the Neph are hoping to win will not be gained without a fight. Until then, Anna and Kaidan must put aside the issues between them, overcome the steamiest of temptations yet, and face the ultimate question: is loving someone worth risking their life?

And when asked who my favorite YA book boy is, that's just...an unfair question. Yet it's definitely a tie between Wes from The Truth about Forever, and Jase from My Life Next Door. Both are quite dreamy!

Would love to win a Kindle Copy!

  13. Fave YA boy huh? Difficult! Has to be Reid from Tammara Webber's Between the Lines series though Kai is a close second and only because there aren't three books out about him! By the end of book three I'm sure that will change. :) Thanks for the contest! Would love to win a Kindle copy. xoxo

  14. Ugh! This is too hard! Should I pick from Obsidian? Kaidan from Sweet Evil? Noah from The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer? *sigh* That boy . . . Etienne St. Clair for Anna and the French Kiss. Or Patch from Hush, Hush. *fans self*

You are my forever friend, Nyrae!!! I don't know what I'd do without you!!! There's nobody else I'd feel comfortable letting read my very first drafts. I can't wait to see what the future holds, and to be by your side every step of the way! Thank you, thank you, thank you for every little thing. Love you, girl. xoxo
