I had SO much fun. I roomed with the totally cool Monica Murphy and Shelli Stevens. Love those girls.
I met some of the most INCREDIBLE readers in the whole world. People who have read my books and people who haven't. They were all so friendly and fun and I enjoyed hanging out with them so much.
I met online friends in person for the first time (Jen, Janette, Claire, other Jen, Evie, Selene, Jillian, Andrea, Autumn, Val and more!) I apologize if I'm missing anyone, but I still have conference brain.
I met YA authors I admire like Gayle Foreman (who thanked ME for My words when she signed my book. It made me cry), Jeri Smith-Ready, Veronica Roth (who I realized at the signing I had shared a good conversation with in the elevator the night before, and hadn't even known it was her).
I met adult authors I admire like Jeaniene Frost (who I totally admit to fangirling. She created Bones! How can you not fangirl her?),and Damon Suede (who is one of the nicest people I have ever met and funny too!).
I met new to me author, Elisabeth Staab, who I now consider a friend and can't wait to read her stuff.
I had breakfast with the editorial director at Grand Central Forever Romance, who is so nice. She made me feel so comfortable and welcome.
I had dinner with Grand Central Publishing and shared a table with authors like Elizabeth Hoyt, Roxanne St. Claire, and Jill Shalvis, the whole time wondering how I was lucky enough to not only sit with them, but to TALK to them too. They were friendly helpful, even asking about my books!
I met my editor Stacy Abrams from Entangled and she was so super nice.
I also met my editor Heather Howland from Entangled who was so super nice too.
I got to see author friends again who I had met before like Raine Miller, and Erin McCarthy who I haven't seen in four years.
Molly McAdams told me I was awesome and that totally made my day.
I got to see my close friend Steph Campbell who is a special kind of awesome.
I went to a lot of panels and workshops and learned so much. I ate really bad food and had a few drinks and got a little giggly.
Oh, I met Sarah Nicolas from Entangled and who I used to work with on the YAtopia blog.
I signed books and had my heart touched so many times when people told me they enjoy my stories.
I know I am missing so many things and probably forgetting people, but again, post conference brain mush! LOL. RT was a blast and I can't wait to go again next year.
