At the end of last year I wrote a post about my goals I wanted to accomplish this year. One of them had to do with writing a book that felt very special to me, and then following through with a plan I made for it.
Then I did nothing… After that I started another book, and got just a couple chapters into it but it wasn't right. I was pushing it but at the same time, I was nervous to start the other book because it was special. One day I realize that's just stupid. I could sit around and wait for the perfect time to write, what felt like to me, my perfect book or I could just do it. I decided to make that the perfect time. The book poured out of me. It seriously flowed and four weeks and five days later, I wrote The End. From there it was beta readers and revising and all of that. I don't know if that ultimate goal I'd hoped for months ago will happen but that's okay. I did it. I created my own perfect time and I wrote the book that is very special to me.
So that's my feel good, inspiration quote for today. "Don't wait for the perfect moment, take the moment and make it perfect." Yesterday I was out shopping and saw the above picture and knew it was perfect for what I'd just experienced.
