I love it.
It broke my heart.
I've wanted to write a story like this for a long time.
A small part of it was inspired by something that happened to someone I knew as a child.
Some of the characters deal with problems that people I know have/do deal with.
In all honestly, this was a tough book to write. I'm glad I did it though. I hope it will touch you guys the way it did me.
You're probably wondering what the heck the book is even about, aren't you? And the title. Geez, I just realized I haven't even told you the title.
It's called TURN THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN. It's about a boy named Hunter who's lived pretty much the perfect life. But then a dark family secret is uncovered, shaking Hunter's perfect world. He's sent to an inpatient youth facility to help him find steady ground again. While he's there he gets close to a group of misfits: anxiety-ridden Casey, wild Rosie, recovering bulimic Bethany...and Stray, the scarred boy with the blue hair, who steals Hunter's heart. Together the group tries to make sense of life and the circumstances that brought them together.
And because I love having artwork done for my books, I couldn't resist having one of my favorite scenes brought to life.
TURN THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN will be released in 2016 from Harmony Ink.
